Is a good night’s sleep just a dream?
Does sleep leave you feeling more like this?
Introducing ‘A BETTER SLEEP’
Good quality sleep for good health and a longer life.
Getting a good night’s sleep simply can’t be emphasized enough – we need information and we need help that is relevant , useful and practical. We need quality sleep and we need this information – NOW!
Doctors often know the impact of the lack of good quality sleep on their patients but the medical system is not geared up to understanding, achieving or supporting quality sleep.
Sleep medicine remains a neglected topic in the medical undergraduate curriculum – despite general agreement on its importance.
With so many doctors busy managing disease we need to become advocates for our own best health – for proactive health and this includes GOOD QUALITY SLEEP.
What is good quality sleep?
The two most common sleep disorders, sleep disordered breathing and insomnia are linked. It is the duty of all clinician’s to help their patients and society. Here is my Plea!
Just sleeping is not enough. The body requires not only enough sleep but also an adequate amount time in each of its stages for optimal health and this is what we need, want and seek.
Now, more than ever before, we need to be advocates for our own health. Quality sleep is an absolutely vital part of health and so we must be advocates for our own sleep health too – which means we need to know something about it.
